Christy Tosh Crider serves as chair of the Firm’s Health Care Litigation Group and Women’s Initiative, founded the Firm’s Long Term Care Group, and is a member of the Firm’s board of directors. She has successfully tried cases in many venues including state trial court, before the Tennessee Department of Health, before numerous arbitrators, and before the governing body of the United Network of Organ Sharing. As an experienced appellate attorney, Christy has presented oral arguments before the Tennessee Supreme Court and Tennessee Court of Appeals. She serves as an arbitrator and is certified by the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Christy concentrates her practice in health care litigation, managing the litigation of numerous health care facilities around the country, as well as serving as outside general counsel.
Christy provides counsel to health care companies on quality assurance, corporate compliance, general business advice and litigation avoidance challenging survey citations, and government investigations. She represents many health care related organizations, including organ procurement organizations and tissue banks, long term care providers, onsite health centers, and one of the largest behavioral health companies in the country.
During Christy’s tenure as the Women’s Initiative Chair, Baker Donelson has become a Mansfield Rule Certified Plus firm and has earned numerous other recognitions as an exceptional workplace for women, including consistently being named in the Top 25 on Seramount’s “Best Law Firms for Women” list, and being ranked 15th nationally for “Diversity for Women” in the 2022 edition of Vault, Inc.’s “Best Law Firms for Diversity List.” The Firm has also been ranked as the “Best of the Best” in many categories in BTI’s latest “Women Associate Satisfaction A-Listers.” Those areas include: Best at Helping Women Associates in Their Careers, Women Associates Have the Best Opportunity to Grow Within the Firm, Partners Invested in Individual Women Associate’s Success, and the Highest Number of Extremely Satisfied Women Associates.
