Andy Lee is a partner in the Litigation Practice Group. He maintains an active national appellate and trial practice focused on business and commercial disputes; corporate, securities, and banking litigation; and fiduciary and officer liability litigation. As a member of the corporate compliance and white collar defense group, Andy also chairs the firm’s privacy and data security team and holds the CIPP/US designation from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
Andy Lee has a multi-faceted practice. He is a seasoned appellate litigator, having briefed and argued dozens of appeals in federal and state courts. Andy served as a law clerk to the former chief judge of the US Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Andy is also an experienced trial lawyer, having represented clients in multiple substantive areas.
Andy’s recent appellate and trial experience has included taking on the lead counsel role in actions involving private equity investment, public and private company fiduciary liability, shareholder derivative claims, theft of trade secrets, data breach and invasion of privacy, lender liability, land use and property disputes, charter school regulation and authorization, and computer software performance.
Andy’s compliance work includes advising clients in the areas of data privacy and cybersecurity and electronic transactions. He helps develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures to ensure defensible, repeatable, and efficient processes and programs related to the security of sensitive corporate data, recovery after cyber intrusions, litigation hold procedures, and complex electronic discovery of data in legal proceedings and internal investigations.
