Andrea is a Partner in Dorsey’s Trial Group and represents businesses and individuals in a wide-range of complex commercial litigation matters, ranging from general contract claims, partnership disputes and terminations, misappropriation of trade secrets, shareholder derivative actions, securities litigation, and consumer class actions, among others. As a true trial attorney who thrives in the courtroom, Andrea knows how to develop a case with the ultimate trial in mind. Andrea has successfully chaired jury and bench trials in both federal and state courts. Most recently, Andrea represented the City of Fort Collins in a two-week federal jury trial where the jury returned a verdict in favor of the City on its claim that Defendants Open International, LLC and Open Investments, LLC fraudulently induced the City to enter into a multi-million-dollar contract, resulting in rescission of the contract. Earlier in the year, Andrea received a judgment defeating $112 million in claims brought by a concessionaire against Dorsey’s client, RTD, in Denver Transit Partners, LLC v. Regional Transportation District based on a prior month-long bench trial.
WHAT CLIENTS SAY
"Andrea is a thoughtful, effective and powerful advocate."
MY CLIENT PHILOSOPHY
"My client service philosophy is rooted in the basic understanding that lawyers are part of the service industry and our role is to serve clients with dedication, responsiveness, and genuine care. Effective representation goes beyond winning a case or resolving an issue and requires a meticulous understanding of each client’s unique business and the impact a dispute or issue may have on the client’s goals and business strategies. My approach is holistic and proactive: I listen to the client’s ambitions and pain points to anticipate and address issues not just in litigation but in the day-to-day operations of the business. Ultimately, I create a partnership with clients to protect and grow their businesses with solutions that are aligned with their long-term success."
