Brad Belsome handles matters involving transportation law, specifically within the Rail Industry. He has successfully tried and handled actions brought in State and Federal courts sitting all across Louisiana, State Court in Texas, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the Court of Federal Claims, and the Office of Administrative Law Judges. Brad’s experience includes: claims prosecuted pursuant to the Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA), the Federal Rail Safety Act (FRSA), including whistleblower retaliatory actions, actions involving highway-rail grade crossing accidents, derailments with hazardous materials release, invitee and trespasser pedestrian injuries, right-of-way and track usage disputes, expropriation and inverse condemnation, cargo and equipment damage and delay, occupational injury and exposure claims.

Brad’s practice also involves all aspects of medical malpractice litigation, including medical review panel proceedings, litigation, appeals and administrative adjudication proceedings brought before the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners, Louisiana State Board of Nursing, the Louisiana State Board of Dentistry and the Louisiana Physical Therapy Board. Wayne R. Rohde

Wayne R. Rohde’s practice focuses on the representation of companies involved in the international ocean transportation industry. He regularly represents clients before the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) in connection with regulatory requirements (including OTI licensing), adjudicatory proceedings, and fact-finding investigations.

Wayne has extensive experience drafting and filing carrier discussion agreements, vessel sharing agreements, space charter agreements, various types of marine terminal operator agreements, and other forms of cooperative working agreements. He has represented clients in connection with FMC service contract and negotiated rate agreement audits. He has trial experience before administrative law judges at the FMC and has negotiated the settlement of civil penalty demands by the FMC.
