Bruce R. Braun

Bruce Braun is a global co-leader of the firmwide 750 lawyer Litigation practice group and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. Barry Postman

Barry A. Postman is the Managing Partner for the firm’s West Palm Beach office. He is a Board Certified Civil Trial Attorney, who provides counseling and defense in the areas of professional malpractice, including the representation of doctors, lawyers, accountants, brokers, title agents and insurance agencies, as well as liquor liability defense, employment litigation, condominium and homeowners association matters, securities litigation, insurance coverage, trucking claims defense, class action, bad faith/extra-contractual liability, commercial banking and financial litigation, trademark/intellectual property, hospitality industry defense, land use litigation and real property disputes, and corporate litigation. Mr. Postman also devotes his practice to construction litigation and risk management counseling, including the representation of design professionals in professional liability claims, developers, contractors, and subcontractors in construction defect claims. Tory A. Weigand

Tory is a partner working out of both the Boston and Springfield offices. He joined Morrison Mahoney LLP in 1994 and has a diversified appellate and trial practice in a variety of areas including Commercial and Professional liability and has argued before the First Circuit Court of Appeals, the Massachusetts Appeals Court, and the Supreme Judicial Court.

Tory’s experience includes representing directors and officers and professionals including physicians, hospitals and practice groups, and other health care providers. He has litigated and counseled as to employment disputes, Bivens and civil rights actions, civil RICO, business tort and contractual disputes, aviation, life sciences, and copyright and trademark matters as well as represented insurers in insurance practice claims and litigation. Tory lectures on appellate practice and authored a number of publications. He is the Editor of the MA Appellate Practice and Procedure Bulletin and Co-Editor of the Aviation Update Newsletter.

Jodi E. Lopez

Jodi E. Lopez is a partner in the Litigation group of Sidley’s Los Angeles office. Her practice has focused on complex civil litigation with an emphasis on financial litigation in the fields of securities and professional liability, including class actions brought by shareholders, suits brought by liquidating trustees, derivative suits and M&A litigation. She has handled cases involving allegations under the federal Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Securities Act of 1933, state securities laws, common law fraud and negligent misrepresentation, professional negligence, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract. She has substantial experience representing major accounting firms and their partners and employees in SEC investigations, state board of accountancy investigations and Department of Justice investigations relating to, among other things, accounting practices, accounting fraud, auditing issues, internal control issues, restatements of financial statements, financial reporting and disclosures and insider trading. She also has significant experience representing public companies and their directors and officers in shareholder class actions and derivative suits, as well as in suits challenging the fairness of proposed mergers and acquisitions and the adequacy of disclosures made in proxy statements and tender offers.
