Joseph Kunkel joined the Firm in 2013 after previously working for three years at an international law firm. His experience there involved many aspects of the discovery process, including overseeing productions, investigations, witness and deposition preparation, and other discovery tasks. Joseph’s practice continues to be focused primarily on discovery, especially electronic discovery as part of the Firm’s growing team in that area.

Corporations and organizations face a number of legal requirements and obligations concerning the creation, storage, maintenance, and use of records and information. In addition to ad hoc requirements of preservation and electronic discovery in the litigation context, there are data privacy and record retention requirements affecting the way companies routinely collect, manage and store various categories of information. Jason has many years of experience in helping clients quickly identify, preserve, collect, process, review, and produce large amounts of electronically stored information in a legally defensible and cost-effective manner. Clients also turn to Jason for guidance on information governance, protection, and data security challenges they face in the US and internationally.

Jason’s current practice focuses on issues involved in electronic discovery preparedness, planning and execution, as well as information privacy, information governance, and data security. He routinely provides legal consultation and advice to several large and diverse corporations and organizations regarding the design and implementation of electronic discovery programs, including the development of policies and procedures for efficiently and defensibly preserving, collecting and producing electronically stored information (ESI). His experience includes serving as an in-house counsel for the nation’s largest publicly traded property and casualty insurer, where he advised on issues involving litigation hold administration, information management, and electronic data discovery process and policy.

Jill Crawley Griset

Jill has a broad background in e-discovery and has focused exclusively on e-discovery since 2005. She co-directs the firm’s discovery counsel services group and manages a team of discovery attorneys at the firm’s Charlotte e-discovery site.

Jill consults with clients on preservation, collection and production issues; serves as National Discovery Counsel for a number of large institutions, including large financial institutions; serves as record Discovery Counsel in large litigation matters where other firms serve as merits counsel; and consults clients on e-discovery protocols and playbooks. Prior to her e-discovery work, she handled business and financial institution litigation matters for eight years.

Natalie Becker

Natalie Chambers is a member of the firm’s eDiscovery Services Team. She consults with case teams on complex eDiscovery issues, and manages large-scale document review projects. She focuses on areas including product liability, commercial litigation, antitrust, real estate, and contracts.

Natalie has worked on multiple government investigations involving the SEC and DOJ, in areas including antitrust and employment discrimination. She received her B.S. in Human Resources and Business Management from Park University, and her J.D from Arizona Summit Law School. Natalie is admitted to the Missouri Bar.
